Hologram Quintet

Marzio Scholten Hologram Quintet

I’m proud to announce my new project and band: Hologram Quintet. This is the first new project for me in years and I’m very excited about it. A quintet that sounds raw, adventurous and modern. I’m also really proud of the amazing line-up of this quintet, consisting of some of the best musicians of my generation, I’m very excited to work with them. On alto saxophone we have Lars Dietrich, who made waves internationally with his New York band The Story. On tenor saxophone my good friend and Marzio Scholten Group member Yaniv Nachum. On bass we have Sean Fasciani, one of the most sought after bass players in Holland. And on drums Mark Schilders, who’s currently residing in New York. On Friday September 21st we will premiere the Marzio Scholten Hologram Quintet at the Muziekhuis in Utrecht. Get your tickets here.

We hope to welcome you on the 21st.

Press

As you might have noticed, we got some great press lately. ‘Voids, Echoes And Whispers’ received fantastic reviews, amongst which a stunning review on All About Jazz, fantastic reviews in Dutch newspapers Het Parool and De Telegraaf and a well written review in Jazzflits. I also did a nice elaborate interview with Gitarist (Dutch Guitarist magazine) and our release concert at the Bimhuis was also reviewed very well by Jazzenzo (very happy with this one). More reviews and future reviews can be found on this page.
