Marzio Scholten Group

This five-piece band, founded in 2007, is one of Marzio's main groups, with which he hits the stages in the Netherlands playing original 'modern creative jazz', written by the band leader. With this group Marzio recorded his second album 'World Of Thought' (to be released, fall 2010).

Marzio Scholten Quartet

Founded in 2003, this is Marzio's longest working band. This quartet has known a few changes in personnel, and still is the core of Marzio's music. This band played on stages and festivals worldwide. Playing with either guitar-sax or guitar-piano on front, the Marzio Scholten Quartet presents the same repertoire as the Marzio Scholten Group.

Marike van Dijk Quintet

A modern jazz quintet based around alto saxophonist Marike van Dijk. Her debut album 'Patches Of Blue' was released in 2010 and received praising reviews. Marzio has been a member of the Marike van Dijk Quintet since 2007.

Amsterdam Jazz Orchestra

A modern jazz big band dedicated to playing original repertoire, written and arranged by the band members. This band features leading new generation musicians from the Dutch modern jazz scene. Marzio has been a member of the Amsterdam Jazz Orchestra since 2009. Their new album is to be released at the end of 2010, besides playing guitar on this album, Marzio is also featured as one of the composers/arrangers.
